To celebrate the start of school, all of the children in Room 7 have been gifted their very first Duffy Book.


Starting school is a big step. So much is new. A huge WELL Done to all of our Room 7 tamariki. You are learning about things that we do at school and you areall trying new things.

We Remember Holy Thursday

 Tomorrow is Holy Thursday and the last day of a wonderful term.  To support the children in their learning, we tried to imagine what it would have been like at the Last Supper. We investigated what plates would have been like in the time of Jesus. The plates would have been made out of clay. They might have had patterns pressed into the rim area.  We made our own plates and created patterns on our plates. We broke bread and shared it with out friends.  Tomorrow we will start the day at Mass. Then we will try some food from the time of Jesus.  Jesus told his friends at the Last Supper that everything would be ok. He told them that at first they would be sad ( on Good Friday ) but on Easter Sunday their hearts would lift and sing with JOY.  May we all feel  joy on  Easter Sunday.
