We Remember Holy Thursday
Tomorrow is Holy Thursday and the last day of a wonderful term.
To support the children in their learning, we tried to imagine what it would have been like at the Last Supper. We investigated what plates would have been like in the time of Jesus. The plates would have been made out of clay. They might have had patterns pressed into the rim area.
We made our own plates and created patterns on our plates. We broke bread and shared it with out friends.
Tomorrow we will start the day at Mass. Then we will try some food from the time of Jesus.
Jesus told his friends at the Last Supper that everything would be ok. He told them that at first they would be sad ( on Good Friday ) but on Easter Sunday their hearts would lift and sing with JOY.
May we all feel joy on Easter Sunday.
God bless

Dear Mrs Tyro and Room 7,
ReplyDeleteyou all have designed some beautiful plates. I'm sure that if Jesus and his disciples (friends) ate off these plates, they would be filled with JOY too. I can't wait to celebrate Holy Thursday with you all tomorrow. Here's a challenge for you all: see if you can hear the words that Jesus said during Mass tomorrow? Who says them?
Have a JOYFUL and blessed Easter!
God bless,
Mrs Moore
