Dear Familes To start term 4, we will learn about Mary. Please share this waiata with your wonderful ako. Hail Mary, Gentle Woman Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blest is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death. Amen. Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star, so strong and bright, gentle Mother, peaceful dove, teach us wisdom; teach us love. You were chosen by the Father; you were chosen for the Son. You were chosen from all women and for woman, shining one. Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star, so strong and bright, gentle Mother, peaceful dove, teach us wisdom; teach us love. Blessed are you among women, blest in turn all women, too. Blessed they with peaceful spirits. Blessed they with gentle hearts. Carey Landry
We welcomed William into our class today. Welcome William! Here is William and his big brother Auron at lunch time. Auron is checking out William's yummy lunch. William is giving us a great smile. Wishing William a great time at NBC!!
Tomorrow is Holy Thursday and the last day of a wonderful term. To support the children in their learning, we tried to imagine what it would have been like at the Last Supper. We investigated what plates would have been like in the time of Jesus. The plates would have been made out of clay. They might have had patterns pressed into the rim area. We made our own plates and created patterns on our plates. We broke bread and shared it with out friends. Tomorrow we will start the day at Mass. Then we will try some food from the time of Jesus. Jesus told his friends at the Last Supper that everything would be ok. He told them that at first they would be sad ( on Good Friday ) but on Easter Sunday their hearts would lift and sing with JOY. May we all feel joy on Easter Sunday. God bless Mrs Tyro Making our plates. Our plates on the wall. Scripture to support our learning.
