Image
A big welcome to Sam ! Here you are doing some reading and writing with me. We have already worked out that you are a great artist and love doing cool tricks on the playground. How lovely to have such a great boy like you in the class Sam.  On a slightly related note! Here is my Sam. He started St Bedes this year.  So just like you, (Room 7) Sam, he started at a brand new school too!  SNAP! oh and my Sam loves art. SNAP! ...and playing games outside..SNAP!!

The Parable of the Lost Sheep

Image
Today you will find this... in your child's book bag! Please take it out of the book bag and let your lovely learner enjoy being a sheep! Baa! Sorry about the possibly messy cotton wool! Pleae keep the sheep mask at home. Any other work/ newsletters can be cleared out at the same time.  We were trying to understand what the parable of the Lost Sheep teaches us. No matter who, God loves us and knows us by name. If we do go astray ( do something wrong) we know that we can say sorry and try again. God will welcome us with open arms...just like the shepard who finds his lost sheep! Please feel free to comment below. We are making up sentences with the word 'very' at school. So, parents, here is a question for you:  How cute is your amazing Room 7 learner when they wear their sheep mask? Could you create an answer to this question in the comment section below and use the word very ?  For each comment, you will earn your child a ' participation' footstep so comment away!...

What food do you like to eat with your family? Do you know a story from when you were a baby? A baby photo please:) Coming together to share special stories about who we are and our family is a strong part of the Matariki tradition. Could you please either provide a photo or send a photo to my e mail of your learner as a baby. jen@nbc.school.nz We will play guess who and encourage the children to use the photo as a way to talk about themselves as a baby- Parents this will need your input of course. Please share your stories - this is what Matariki is all about! If you are feeling brave, parents, use the comment box (below) to answer one or all of the questions listed above. I ...
